The Platinum Curve HD is a bespoke stairlift designed for curved staircases featuring an increased weight capacity of 160kg (25 stone). The ergonomically styled seat is wider than average with adjustable arm-width and incorporates plump padding and cushioning.  It has hardened rollers and additional legs on the rail for greater stability and strength.

Like the standard Platinum Curve the HD model incorporates a PDMC motor to ensure a smooth and gentle ride and the twin rail mechanical levelling system and special rail bending process provides for a gentler and steadier travel on turns and corners.

The Platinum Curve HD comes with a retractable, car style seatbelt as standard and the seat can swivel away making it easier for you getting off at the top of the stairs. The footrest and carriage incorporate a number of pressure sensitive safety edges that stop the stairlift instantly should it come into contact with any obstructions.

The motor has a special inbuilt safety brake that will slow the stairlift and prevent it from travelling too fast on descent. The unit also comes with a key-switch to prevent unauthorised use by visitors and young children.

The Platinum Curve Heavy Duty model has these added features:

  • An increased weight capacity of 160kg (25st) – 40kg (6st) more than most standard lifts
  • Wider seat with adjustable arm width in 25mm increments
  • A stronger swivel boss and hardened acetyl rollers to retain a smooth and comfortable ride quality
  • Additional legs placed on the rail for additional stability and strength
